The next step up from our On My Own playgroup program for children who are ready for drop off, Ready, Set, Go! is dedicated to nurturing children through a whole-child approach in which preschoolers learn through play. Theme-based units allow children in Ready, Set, Go! to explore topics in depth via hands-on activities in dramatic play, storytelling, sensory play, block building, art, and more. The interdisciplinary nature of our program means that other experiences, including science, music, and gross motor play, are interwoven throughout each week.  We make full use of our spacious facility, learning and playing in our homeroom, gym, “indoor playground,” art studio, and  green roof.

We take a maximum of 14 children in the Ready, Set, Go! morning program and eight in the Ready, Set, Go ! Jr. afternoon session to ensure a nurturing environment for your child. Children must be potty-trained to participate in Ready, Set, Go! Priority registration is given to currently enrolled Ready, Set, Go! and On My Own families, and after that, admission is on a first come, first served basis.  Registration is ongoing until the program is full.

Homeroom instructors: Somer Adams, Denise LeDonne, and Therese Snider

Additional instructors: Cindy Schaffer, Lesley Countryman

Ready, Set, GO! feels like a little bit of magic in the middle of Manhattan. My daughter walks through the classroom door and is met with genuine care and kindness. She gets to spend three hours falling more in love with learning because of the way her teachers value creative play and encourage imagination.  She brings home wonderful art projects, curiosity and facts about our solar system, camping, gardening, or other cultures, empathy for fellow students, and excitement about exercising and playing new games. We love this program and are so thankful for our time there!”
